3 MOTHERS’ BEAUTIFUL PHOTOS

Many mothers take photos of their kids. But today, we have three photographers who take photographing children to a whole new beautiful level.

Photographer Daniela Babic does more than tell her three children fairy tales and bedtime stories. She invites them to spin tales and create images which she captures in the most beautiful way.

Babic began with a magical vision of how she wanted photos of her children to look but was frustrated by her own inabilities to execute it.

She experimented and tried to hone her craft as a photographer, as she searched for a way to make her dreams of childhood materialize.
One day, as she was rifling through some old photos that she had taken at the local zoo, she had an epiphany: she could create visual adventures together with and for her children.

Babic began to play with Photoshop, developing the technical skills to manipulate her photos so that they began to echo what she saw in her mind’s eye. And it all came together.

She first composed a photo with a polar bear and her youngest son Theodore. And it was breathtaking. Babic and Theodore went on to create more than 20 incredible visual adventures, originally solely to serve as a keepsake for him as he grows up. Their beautiful adventures continue.

Photographer Elena Shumilova takes spectacular photographs of her children and pets as they live out their seemingly fairy tale life on their farm in rural Russia.

Shumilova’s two young boys, together with their adorable dog, cat, duckling, and rabbit friends, explore their surrounding landscapes, as they explore the magic of each other. The photos freeze their most precious moments.

Capturing natural colors, in natural light, Shumilova’s images are nothing short of enchanting. Candlelight, fog, smoke, rain, and snow all have a place on her palette, giving her photos an ethereal, mystical feel.

While her portfolio is now quite prolific, Shumilova only started taking photographs in early 2012, when she got her first camera.

Shumilova shoots with the Canon EOS 5D Mark II camera and a 135mm lens. As a working mom who wants to maximize her time together with her children, takes photos every day and processes the images at night after she tucks them into the Land of Nod.

Emily Lucarz is an award-winning newborn and family photographer in St. Louis, Missouri. While her photos are more in the line of traditional portraiture, vs Photoshopped illustrations, they too have a special storytelling quality about them.

Although she had a successful career as a speech pathologist, working with young babies and children, soon after her own son was born, Lucarz began her journey as a newborn photographer.

Lucarz shoots both as posed baby sessions in her studio, or non-posed lifestyle family sessions in her clients’ homes.

She gravitates towards more natural colors and uses natural light as much as possible. Lucarz also shoots in special Sunset Session throughout the year.

Lucarz currently teaches newborn and family lifestyle workshops to advanced photographers across the country. She also creates photoshop action sets for photographers to help others get that dreamy feel. You can find out more about her upcoming workshops, action sets and recent work on her website.
