It’s Beautiful Purple week here at BeautifulNow. It’s a perfect theme for the last week of February -- we’re kicking it off with this month’s birthstone, the beautiful purple amethyst.

 

The purples range from light lilac to super-dark violet. “Deep Russian,” the highest grade amethyst, is exceptionally rare. The rest comes from Brazil, Uruguay, South Korea, Russia, Zambia, US, and Austria, home to the largest opencast amethyst vein in the world.
