BEAUTIFUL NEW SPINS ON FLYING FOOD NOW

Things gain a new level of beauty when they move. Food and drinks flying through the air, falling, mixing, and even exploding, renders some magnificent images, with fluid shapes and patterns. We are featuring the stop motion and high speed works of 2 super-talented photographers below.

EGOR N.

Egor N., also known as oDedaLo, is a young photographer from Ukraine who has a passion for making food fly.

He captures the beautiful shapes food makes as it moves through the air in his “Coffee Time” photo series.

Coffee and milk form aerial ballet moves, as their vessels defy gravity.

Somehow Egor N has managed to make them look unique, with gorgeous curves and arabesques, like no other high speed food photos we’ve ever seen.

ADRIAN MUELLER

Swiss photographer Adrian Mueller loves to play with food, especially when it’s liquid.

He first studied architectural engineering then moved to photography when he found similar stylistic elements -- clean lines, crisp renderings, light playing off planes.  

Now a commercial photographer, Mueller shoots images for advertising and publishing clients, as well as for Chef Matthew Kenney.

While Mueller careful plans, pre-producing his shots, he always incorporates serendipity.

He uses high speed strobes, with a 7,000th of a second flash duration, to capture things that the naked eye can’t see and moments one could never have imagined. 

Mueller’s final images are created using a combination of retouching and CGI.
