LACE CARS -- GALLERY OF STEEL FIGURES

There is an added level of beauty in art made of recycled materials, a premise that shines through this series of lace car sculptures made from scrap metal salvaged from a Polish junkyard.

The Gallery of Steel Figures, in Pruszkówa, Poland, houses this reimagined collection of four iconic cars, which were designed and built by 50 artists over the last 5 years.

Check out the lace-inspired Mercedes-Benz 300 SL, Bugatti Veyron, Maserati GranTurismo, and Lamborghini Aventador.

The steel car sculptures are built to scale. And it would be so cool if we could really drive them!

The car doors open and close. Even the interiors are replicated faithfully.

Engines and other parts all look like metal lace versions of the real things.

The collection will travel to an exhibition at the 2017 Dubai Auto Show.

The Gallery of Steel FIgures, founded by  Mariusz Olejnik, is about an hour’s drive from Warsaw. Go check out these metal lace beauties! They’re even more spectacular in real life!
