MALDIVE MEMORY: BED SWINGING IN THE BREEZE

The atoll, upon which Naladhu lightly sits, is only one mile long and a quarter of a mile wide. It is a whisper, barely rising up from the sea. You instantly melt upon landing here in the Maldives, and you remain soft and pliable, relaxing into every moment. The Maldivians take their relaxation seriously. The beautiful Maldivian bed hanging on our terrace is designed to lull you into nirvana as you sway to the rhythm of the Indian Ocean’s bathwater-warm waves. A broad mattress is generous enough to hold two fully unfurled people as they lean against the pile of pillows. It even comes with a carved little pedestal to hold cocktails. It held us and rocked us for hours on into the night.
