NEW PURPLE GORGEOUSNESS

If you have a passion for purple, check out what it can do for your beautiful face! It’s not the 80’s disco purple thing or the teeny-bopper purple thing -- oh no. We’ve gathered some fabulous new ideas for eyes, lips, cheeks, and nails that will have you rocking a fresh new purple gorgeousness.

 

Eyeshadow and Lipstick shares this shiny purple satiny eye (above), designed by Hasse Nielsen. Using deep purple cream shadow to create eyes you can really get lost in.

 

 

Some of the purple toned down, some bold, some matte, some electric, some sparkly, some deep, some pastel -- some for every purple-loving occasion.

 

Purple eyeshadows and liners can enhance any eye color. They contrast against green and hazel eyes to intensify the green. They complement blue eyes so that they sing together in amped-up harmony. And they make brown eyes look richer and deeper.  

Catching Fire Capitol Couture, who designed hair and makeup for this look, and Kait Winston, who photographed it, created a beautiful purple fantasy.

Georgia May Jagger has a definite genetic luscious lip advantage, thanks to her daddy. She works it to the max with this bubblegum orchid shade of lipstick.

Photographer/Stylist/Makeup artist Agnieszka Jopkiewicz turns model Agnieszka Pietron into a purple dream goddess. Although this look is extreme, there are beautiful ideas here that you can borrow and tone down for a look you can wear right now.

Violet Grey shared some incredible ultraviolet eyes. Makeup artist Beau Nelson turned them on with an electric feel -- with an electric wash of violet over the eyelids. Check out the tutorial on how you can recreate this look for yourself.

NARS has some beautiful new purples in his Spring 2014 collection. These are in radiant orchid, Pantone's color of the year for 2014.

Jason Wu rocked smoldering violet in this season’s collection. Make up artist Diane Kendal designed this look in collaboration with Lancôme. It features clear glowing skin and nude lips to make the eyes really grab you.
