Arts Design
BEAUTY CREATES. BEAUTY DESTROYS.
There is a special kind of beauty in things that are fleeting. You need to savor them in the moment knowing full well that the next moment, they will be gone. British artist, Tony Plant, creates art on the beaches of Cornwall that washes away in the next high tide. Why create something beautiful when you know it will be certainly and swiftly destroyed? Perhaps because it forces the artist to continually create something new? Perhaps it is to force the viewer to keep a fresh perspective? Perhaps it is to remind us of the eternal truth that everything here in the moment has the potential to be gone in the next... and that we should pay attention the beauty in our midst right now. Watch Plant as he creates a recent piece.
