A BEAUTIFULLY WILD ROCK STAR THRONE
Ropes of dangling leather fringe, textured reptile skin, and dark, ominous colors. Is it stage wear for Rock Gods? Nope. It’s your new favorite chair.
Artist and fashion designer Jordan Betten of Lost Art was recently invited to turn up the volume on some of McGuire furniture’s signature pieces. Betten dove head-first into the designs, injecting the pieces with his modern, rockstar aesthetic. The Butterfly Chair, pictured here, is a beautiful marriage of traditional design and sexy revamp from its cobra skin seat to the bending, organic lines, to the wildly glamorous leather fringe. You can easily picture one of Betten’s rock and roll clients, like Lenny Kravitz, Sean Lennon, or Steven Tyler, lounging in one of these wild thrones.
The McGuire-Betten collaboration chairs will be on display at McGuire San Francisco for the month of February 2013 and in Baker Knapp & Tubbs’ Los Angeles showroom in March 2013.
