PEBBLES - CONSTANCY & CHANGE

The Constancy & Change in Korean Traditional Craft exhibition at the London Design Festival focused on the use of traditional materials, such as ceramic, Korean paper, and mother-of-pearl to create beautiful modern object. The pieces are quite spiritual, with a sense of delicacy and timeless beauty.

The large scale ‘Pebbles, created by artisan Hwang Sam-yong, were lacquered and inlaid with different colors of mother-of-pearl. Hwang spent 277 hours, using the ‘Cutting-up technique’, to create each piece.

MEDITATION BOWL BELLS - CONSTANCY & CHANGE

These brass Meditation Bowl Bells are beautiful in their simplicity. They are traditionally struck in Buddhist temples with cylindrical wooden sticks to summon monks to prayer. These Bells can be used as decorative vessels in your home. They are said to be endowed with a sacred aura.

ANTIQUE MIRROR PANELS -- RUPERT BEVAN

These gorgeous Antique Mirror Glass panels, from Rupert Bevan, look amazing in the bathroom. They are available in many different levels of patination and additional finish effects. Each piece of glass individually antiqued by hand.

This installation in Primrose Hill Townhouse bathroom has outer panels that are antiqued to a medium effect, leaving the inner panels clear to be used as a normal mirror. The outer edges of the panels are finished with a patinated bronze trim.

Rupert Bevan’s designers, makers and finishers, make some of the most beautiful bespoke furniture and specialist interiors. Everything is made in Britain, often by hand using rare and traditional artisan techniques. Their diverse specialities include cabinet making, metalwork, stone and leather work, mirror glass, decorative paintwork and lacquerwork, gilded and gesso finishes.

COPPER USK BATHTUB -- DRUMMONDS

Cast in iron, layered in hand-pressed copper, Drummonds Usk Bathtub is stunning.

It has the same durability of a cast iron bath but the look of a traditional copper bathtub, ideal for the ultimate luxury bathroom.

Drummonds manufactures all baths in their own cast iron foundry, using highly skilled craftsmen.

They finish the inside and outside of our baths by hand. The inside is enamelled with dry frit vitreous enamel -- they heat the bath to red-hot, then hand-sprinkle dry frit onto the surface that it bonds with. This process is patiently and skillfully repeated up to five times to achieve perfect coverage and a beautiful undulating appearance.

Craftsmen then finish the exteriors, with a choice of raw, primed, painted or polished and lacquered finishes.

CLOTHILDE BATHTUB - WATERWORKS

The Clothilde tub is based on the high sloping French copper tubs of the 19th century, but it is larger, more grand scale. It is completely handmade using the artesian methods and tools as the original 19th century designs.

It is lined in tin to protect the purity of the water, with no visible seams or joints.

LUDLOW FAUCET - WATERWORKS

We love this new faucet for its clean modern industrial look and its innovative engineering.

WATT -- WATERWORKS

We’ve always loved the old glass telephone pole insulator covers. We used to collect them in fact. And now we see we are not alone.

Inspired by their countless shapes and colors, the Waterworks new Watt lighting collection features two styles of large scale boron molded glass shades in clear, amber or blue -- for a beautiful vintage look. Available in sconces and pendants.

PARIS BATH -- THE WATER MONOPOLY

So sculptural and elegant, the Paris Bath is a faithful reproduction of an early 20th Century French fireclay bath. Made from Vitrite™, a lightweight stone and mineral composite that replicates the look and feel of the original heavy stone bath. The bath is available with or without feet, in two sizes and may be produced in any colour.

The Water Monopoly Open Showroom and Workshop

The Water Monopoly is known for its absolutely stunning luxury bathrooms, launched its new designs at the London Design Festival with an open air working bathroom for guests to immerse themselves in the full experience of their wonderful designs.

With an eclectic mix of French antiques, reproductions, and modern designs, The Water Monopoly is a treasure trove. Their stock is constantly changing. You might find vintage copper tubs, prized for their original patina or cast iron baths made from recycled brake discs. Whatever you find, you will likely love.

ROCKWELL BATH -- THE WATER MONOPOLY

The Water Monopoly’s Rockwell Bath is a reproduction of an antique bath with a modern twist. It fuses color, ceramics, and metal in a whole new way. Its funky feet are available in a range of colors and can be easily changed whenever the mood suits.

The Rockwell series has a clean simplicity looks striking in both traditional and contemporary settings. It is manufactured in England and is also made from Vitrite™.
