BEAUTIFUL CANDID CAMERA

You can be a candid camera superstar! Grab your camera or your smart phone! We’ve got your back with 10 great tips so you can capture the most beautiful candid moments ever! Check them out below.

1. ALWAYS BE READY TO SHOOT

You take your phone with you everywhere anyway, so this one is easy, even if you don’t have a fancy camera. Now, you just need to keep your eyes open wide for any possible beautiful moment.

2. ZOOM

If you give your subject space, you can catch more candid moments. Zoom lenses and settings let you do that… keeping you remote and intimate at the same time.

3. FLASH OFF

You’re more stealth and less intrusive if you keep your flash off. Just increase your ISO setting, use a faster lens, open up your aperture, or use  a “natural light mode,” if possible.

4. GO CRAZY

Shoot lots of pics. You can’t have too many! And you increase your chances of getting something special.

5. GET THE ANGLE

Even though things are candid, you can still scope out the best vantage point. Try to get to where you think the best perspective will be. How can you capture the best action in the best light with the best background?

6. LEVERAGE DISTRACTION

Wait for your subject to be distracted by what they are doing or by other people (or animals). When they are not aware of your presence, or worried about how they look, they will relax and deliver the most beautiful form.

7. DON’T LOOK

Don’t even look at your camera when you shoot. Let it grab what it can. Hold it out at different levels and angles and aim for serendipity! It renders beautiful results!

8. GO DEEP

Keep foreground in mind when you frame your shots. It deepens the story.

9. SHOOT THEIR SHOT

A great way to get candid shots is to shoot a scene while another photographer is posing and composing the same shot. If you are off to the side, you can get a more relaxed impromptu situation.

10. SHOOT WIDE

A wide angle gets you more up close and personal. Get a much wider perspective and be part of the scene!
