Produced by Edible Manhattan and Edible Brooklyn, Food Loves Tech is a first-of-its-kind “education by entertainment innovation expo.” Arranged as a series of experiential exhibits,

Food Loves Tech (FLT) links multiple immersive installations, technologies, tastings, leadership panels, and dining experiences to explore and celebrate the future of food through technology and innovation.

Now in its 2nd year, FLT will take place over two-days, November 3 - 4 at  Industry City, in Brooklyn, New York.

FLT brings people with a passion for innovating food and drink together with people who have a passion for enjoying the latest culinary wonders. Here, you’ll find creators, makers, startup teams, thought leaders, food and drink aficionados, and techies.

FLT aims to invigorate the conversation and ultimately change the way we think about food in the future.

Go and you will get to see, smell, touch, hear, and taste food’s not-so-distant future as well as its cutting-edge present.

Experience ways in which technology is helping to fix our broken food system -- to solve problems in food production, distribution, preparation, waste management, and ecological impact.

From artisanal ice cubes, to urban agricultural ecosystems, to tiny farm robots that can help farmers cope with labor shortages, FLT will blow your culinary mind!

Delight in how technology can make food taste, smell, and look better. Have more fun with food!

Check out some of this year’s most beautiful FLT exhibitors below:

Giant king mushrooms grown by Smallhold Microfarm.

Smallhold makes Microfarms and Microgardens that give restaurant and home chefs the ability to grow their own mushroomsand greens. The food is fresher than anything you might buy, so it’s more nutritious, and with a lower carbon footprint.

Smallhold gives you a networked mini-farm, complete with sensors, climate control mechanisms, and hydroponics -- all tucked into a tiny package. Their horticulturalists run the farm from afar, growing for you right up until you pick and serve your produce.

Perhaps the coolest thing is that these Mini-farms yield 40 times the output per square foot of a traditional farm with 96% less water usage. They fit in small spaces and are outfitted with wifi.

Smallhold starts the process by farming for you, making it easier and faster for you to grow your food. They grow produce 3/4 of the way and then deliver it to miniature vertical farm units (the size of shelving units) at your place of business to be harvested onsite as fresh, local food.
