EATOPIA - EATTAIPEI

Eatopia is a series of immersive and conceptually led culinary performances taking place at the inaugural London Design Biennale, at the Somerset House, similar to their EatTaipei installation.

Curated by architect Rain Wu and designer Shikai Tseng in collaboration with chef Chung-Ho Tsai, Research & Development Chef at the renowned Taiwanese restaurant in Pasadena.

The Eatopia experience includes an experimental tasting menu of 5 dishes, and a little journey through a serene forest-like installation, with its cast trees, forest sounds, and surreal lighting.

BROMPTON COCKTAIL

While all cocktail recipes aim to transport the drinker to a higher plane, the potions created for the Brompton Cocktail, an exhibition created by alumni designers in the Brompton Design District for London Design Festival 2016, truly transform state of body, mind and soul.

These new Brompton Cocktails were inspired by the original elixir served at the Royal Brompton Hospital in the early 20th century, which called for a lethal mix of morphine, heroin, cocaine, and alcohol, it was used for palliative care until the 1970s, to relieve pain promote “sociability” before death.

Pretty Hanky Panky is a cocktail, designed by Arabeschi di Latte, calls for Belladonna and China Elixir (and requires a get-out-of-jail-free card).

Timelessness, 1 shot Heroism, 1 splash Pleasure, ½ oz. Freedom, hint Addiction + a dash of freshly squeezed lemon juice. To be served hot.
