NATURAL SOULFUL TRANSITIONS
Everything is in transition, always. And everything can both affect and be affected by the transition of everything else. That’s why changing your environment can spark and facilitate personal transitions. And personal transitions can change the world.

A walk in the woods can be an especially powerful, beautiful transition path. Each step away from your current surroundings -- each step further into the forest -- brings you into a deeper connection with the earth and its wild inhabitants. Your changing perspectives and energies can bring greater awareness, new insights, Eureka moments, and the inner fire that you need to improve your life.

Inner Landscapes offers day hikes and hiking retreats for “inner explorers,” focused on personal transitions and new beginnings. Discover the beautiful rainforest wilds of British Columbia as you explore the changing inner landscape of your own life.
Led by Adrian Juric, a certified psychology counselor, the programs typically include readings from selected poets and writers on the theme of inner transformation, including those of Rumi, David Whyte, Thomas Moore, Thomas Merton, Joseph Campbell, C.G. Jung, John Muir, H.D. Thoreau, among others. Hiking excursions offer time to connect and reflect. And there is time to write, to gather thoughts and create new ideas.

“I only went out for a walk, and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in.” - John Muir

The organization recently held a film festival, which included a series of films and discussions all focused on aspects of death and dying in harmony with the natural world. One film highlight, the award-winning “A Will for the Woods,” directed by Amy Browne, Jeremy Kaplan, Tony Hale, and Brian Wilson, documents the journey of Clark Wang.
The terminally ill psychiatrist connects with timeless natural cycles as he finds a way to leave this world without without a physical trace. The film was named by TED as one of the nine documentaries to see this year.
