FINE ART PHOTOGRAPHY HIGHLIGHTS

Two of the finest fine art photography art fairs in the world, an annual showcase presented by AIPAID (Association of International Photography Art Dealers) in New York City and Paris Photo, have joined forces for the first time this year to present Paris Photo New York.

While it was meant be held at Pier 94 this week, from Thursday, April 2nd to Sunday, April 5th 2020, after careful consideration and comprehensive discussions with galleries and partners, the inaugural edition of Paris Photo New York, organized by Reed Expositions France, will be postponed to a later date due to the growing concerns over public health and safety and the developing COVID-19 situation. A new date will be announced as soon as possible.

While we wait, we look back on our favorites from AIPAD 2019 in which over 120 top galleries from around the world exhibited works that ranged from historic images to groundbreaking contemporary works from the most exciting photographers working today.

The BeautifulNow team has curated a series of highlights, so be sure to check our site all week long for new posts featuring different aspects of the show.

We begin with a selection of photographs featuring architecture. These images leverage the art of both structure and place. Some show iconic buildings in fresh styles, others veer towards abstraction. Together, they might form a kind of travel bucket list, whether you wander virtually, through the fair booths, or the images move you to venture out into the world and experience these scenes IRL.

Check out the selection below. And, stay tuned for updates on the rescheduling of Paris Photo New York once the COVID-19 pandemic subsides.
