In the mood for some epic fireworks? You might want to visit the 10 biggest most beautiful volcanoes happening in the world right now! Check them out below!

1. YASUR VOLCANO -- TANNA ISLAND, VANUATU

Yasur Volcano, on Tanna Island, in Vanatu is one of the most active volcanoes in the world. It is known for its spectacular consistent strombolian and vulcanian activity, with a range of  eruptions, from small, to quite violent, emanating from several vents since 1774.

2. SOUFRIÈRE HILLS VOLCANO -- MONTSERRAT, WEST INDIES

Soufrière Hills Volcano is a stratovolcano, built up of alternate layers of lava and ash, located on the northern half of Monserrat, in the British Lesser Antilles. This volcano, which sat dormant for 350 years, has been active now since 1995. The MVO, one of the world's most modern volcano observatories, keeps watch, making this one of the best monitored active volcanoes worldwide.

3. MOUNT BROMO -- INDONESIA

Mount Bromo, in East Java, Indonesia, is not only an active volcano, but also considered a sacred site. Every year during the Kasada festival, the Tenggerese people climb the 7,641-foot- high mountain to throw vegetables, flowers, and livestock into the volcano as an offering to the mountain gods.

4. MOUNT SINABUNG -- INDONESIA

Check out the triple delight as 3 volcanoes erupt at the same time -- Indonesia’s Sinabung, Rinjani, and Gamalama mountains have all erupted within days of each other and it’s spectacular to see! They are located along the geologically active Ring of Fire and is home to about 130 active volcanoes.

5. MOUNT MERAPI -- INDONESIA

Mount Merapi is Indonesia’s most active volcano. It straddles the border between the provinces of Central Java and Yogyakarta. While the last major eruption was in 2010, there’s still plenty of beautiful drama to see and still a bit of fiery danger at the 2,914 meter- high summit.

6. VILLARRICA VOLCANO -- CHILE

The Villarica Volcano has the most recorded eruptions in Chile, a country with 2,000 volcanoes to its credit. Chile has the largest number of active volcanoes in South America. It ranks 5th in the world. About 500 of Chile’s volcanoes are still active. They are mainly located along the Andes mountain range in a chain that is part of the “Pacific Ring of Fire.”

7. MANAM VOLCANO -- PAPUA NEW GUINEA

The Manam Volcano, in Papua New Guinea, is one of the most active volcanoes in the world.

Two summit craters are active. While frequent moderate eruptions have been recorded since 1616, occasional larger eruptions send pyroclastic flows and lava flows that reach flat-lying coastal areas and enter the sea. In April, 2017, the volcano eruption alert level was raised to a level 3, leading to the evacuation of local villages.

8. MOUNT VESUVIUS --  ITALY

Mount Vesuvius, near Pompeii, Italy, is one of the most famous volcanoes in the world. It buried the entire city in thick layers of ash during an eruption in AD 79. While it’s been dormant since 1944, it’s still cool to climb to it’s peak and imagine what happened to the ancient Romans here. But hurry, it’s due for another blast.

9. MOUNT ETNA, ITALY

Mount Etna, in Sicily, Italy, treats visitors to frequent pyrotechnic shows. You can get relatively close to see them by hiking up the mountain or taking a ride on the scenic Circumetnea Railway.

10. KILAUEA VOLCANO -- HAWAII

Kilaeua Volcano is one of the most spectacular volcanoes in Hawaii. It has been spewing out lava since 1983. You can get up close to its beautiful molten lava fields. It’s wonderful to visit after dark when lava glow lights up the night sky.
