NEW CELEBRATION CURES
Don't start or don't stop, because you can't have a hangover as long as you're drinking....
UMEBOSHI
Some Japanese sock their sake hangovers with umeboshi, dried sour plums steeped in green tea.
CARBS
You may know that saltines help to banish queasiness. They and their carb cousins, help your tummy to feel better after a night of too many cocktails.
HONEY
The fructose in honey helps your body to better metabolize the alcohol. It also contains potassium. Some recommend that you take two to six teaspoons of it every 20 minutes or until you feel better.
BUFFALO MILK
We think the Namibian Buffalo Milk hangover cure sounds delicious: a mixture of clotted cream, dark rum, spiced rum cream liqueur, and whole cream.
BANANAS
Bananas help push the hangover out of your system by replacing the potassium you’ve lost by your overindulgence.
VITAMINS
You know the real only cure is to take a multivitamin and an aspirin just before you go to bed, but who remembers to do that when you come home after a night of drinking?
WASABI BATH
If the umeboshis don’t work well enough, try a detox bath with wasabi bath salts or a spoonful of wasabi powder and epsom salts.
SAUNA
Saunas can’t really steam the excess vodka out of you, but some Russians swear by it, especially if it includes a beating with birch branches.
SHU UEMURA STAGE PERFORMER INSTANT GLOW
You might be looking a bit gray after your night of play. Smooth on Shu Uemura Stage Performer Instant Glow after cleanser and serum, and watch your skin come to life. Works well alone or under makeup.
SISLEY BLACK ROSE CREAM MASK
Treat your face to a luxurious replenishment with Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask. You’re dehydrated, after all.
Now that you’re all prepared, we wish you happy, healthy, and beautiful celebrations.
