FLIGHTS OF FANCY FANTASY TRIP FOR FOODIES NOW

Imagine flying around the world in the lap of luxury, on a private jet, touching down in some of the most beautiful culinary destinations on the planet, hanging out and dining with the most talented creative chefs.

Sounds like an amazing foodie fantasy, right? Well, these flights of fancy are now possible thanks to an amazing trip with the Four Seasons Culinary Discoveries tour. 

Four Seasons has partnered with renowned chef René Redzepi, of Noma, ranked as the Best Restaurant in the World by Restaurant Magazine. Together, they have curated a 3-week epicurean odyssey that looks like it will be truly out of this world.

Lucky travelers will fly on the sleek posh Four Seasons Private Jet, visiting 9 countries in Asia and Europe, to learn and sample the best expressions of each culture’s cuisine.

The tour offers a wonderful way to track the evolution of food, culture and creativity in each culinary mecca. You’ll get an insider’s look into the people, places, foods and wines that are changing our culinary landscape.

The trip begins in begins in Seoul, South Korea, with a private farm-to-table dinner at the home of star chef Jong Kuk Lee. Next, visit Jin Kwan Temple, at the base of Mount Bukhan to check out  the secrets of ritualistic food preparation. Then time travel back to the future for some contemporary Korean tastes at Jungsik, Seoul’s #1 restaurant.

The next flight is to Tokyo, where you will forage in the surrounding countryside with Michelin-starred chef Namae Shinobu, then dine at his restaurant L’Effervescence. While you’re here, you will taste get the best Kobe beef at Sumibi Yakiniku Nakahara. If you’re game, there are sushi-making classes from masters.

The next flight is to Hong Kong, where a bevvy of Michelin-starred chefs start by guiding your local food markets and street food vendors.

The next flight is to Chiang Mai, Thailand, where former Noma chef Garima Arora before everyone sets of a jungle ride atop some majestic elephants. You will also visit the beautiful terraced rice fields of the mystical Mae Rim Valley.

The next flight is to Mumbai, where you will join chef Arora once in creating an extraordinary Indian feast.

The next flight is to Florence, Italy, where you will get your first exceptional wine experience with the winemakers of Tenuta di Valgiano at the winery’s medieval estate in Lucca. You will visit Chianti and dine at Il Bucaniere on the shores of San Vincenzo.

The next flight is to Lisbon, Portugal to tour the Mercado da Ribeira. You will sample its multicultural flavors at lunch with chef Nuno Mendes, then dinner with Michelin starred chef José Avillez at his restaurant Belcanto. 

The next flight is to Copenhagen, Denmark, for another foraging expedition, led by Redzepi and his team. The wild ingredients you gather will go into that night’s dinner at Noma.

The last flight is to Paris for expert cooking classes and a farewell dinner at the flagship Four Seasons Hotel George V’s famed restaurant Le Cinq.

The Four Seasons Culinary Discoveries tour will take place from May 27 through June 14, 2017.
