THE ATLAS OF BEAUTY

Beauty is everywhere. And Romanian photographer Mihaela Noroc has made it her life’s work, for the past 2 years, to show that it is true.

In creating her most recent body of beautiful work, The Atlas of Beauty, Noroc has photographed hundreds of women in more than 30 countries, highlighting their diverse ranges of beauty.

While many women feel pressured by the fashion industry to conform to narrow definitions of beauty, one can see, through Niroc’s photos, that beauty can be found in all people, regardless of race, wealth, or culture. She shows beauty in their differences and in their authenticities. 

Noroc traveled, overland, through much of her journey around the world so that she could more closely experience the landscapes and the cultures that inform both the genetics and the style which define beauty in each place along the way.

As she photographed women in different locations, she developed a map -- mapping the world by its women. She mapped the beauty of the human race. 

The Atlas of Beauty became viral on the internet. It has been praised by major publications and networks such as Forbes, Elle, and CNN.
