The Omnivore World Tour returns to Shanghai for the second year from June 20th to June 22nd, 2013. This incredible event is a foodie’s dream: renowned master chefs from across the globe come together to teach master classes, while pop up dinners embodying their “culinary philosophies” appear around the city.
Some of the talented artists cooking at the event include French chef, Julien Burlat (of Le Dome in Shanghai), Danny Bowien (of Mission Chinese Food, San Francisco & New York City), Frank Elie (of Jade on 36, Shanghai), Scott Melvin (of The Social Commune, Shanghai), among many others.

The Storm King Arts Center will also play host to a Summer Solstice Celebration on Saturday, June 22nd, 2013. The evening begins with drink, hors d’oeuvres, and a viewing of the two special exhibitions: “Thomas Houseago: As I Went Out One Morning” and David Brooks’ “A Proverbial Machine in the Garden.” The evening continues with a dinner under the stars featuring a “foraged and farm menu” designed by Peter Hoffman of Back Forty and Shelley Boris of Fresh Company.
The Storm King Arts Center is located about an hour north of New York City in the lower Hudson Valley in New Windsor. For more information about the outdoor art gallery including current exhibitions and upcoming events, visit the Storm King Arts Center’s website.

Folk musicians take to the water this weekend—8-berth boats to be more specific! With locations, ranging from tiny pub gardens to floating stages, 15 concerts will be connected by canal boats, beginning in Rugby and ending in Warwick, with stops at Braunston, Napton, Long Itchington, and Leamington Spa.

Watch as one of the artists featured at the festival, Shae, plays a cover of “Bang Bang,” by will.i.am. Shae will be performing June 27th at The Admiral Nelson in Braunston.
The Folk on the Water Festival hopes to raise both awareness and funds for Fallen Heroes, a support system injured former service personnel and their families.
The Folk on the Water Festival runs now, from June 21st to July 7th, 2013. For more information about Folk on the Water including venues and a full list of artists, visit their website.
We hope you are enjoying a beautiful summer so far. Check in with us next Friday, and every Friday this summer, for more beautiful event listings.
