9. PINELANDS: NEW JERSEY’S SUBURBAN WILDERNESS

Pinelands: New Jersey's Suburban Wilderness, by Albert D. Horner, is an exploration of New Jersey’s largest natural resource. Horner spent 9 years exploring the Pinelands, also known as the Pine Barrens, documenting the wonderful forests there, as well as cedar swamps, rushing rivers, and mysterious bogs.

His incredible photos in this monograph were well-planned, sometimes scouted up to several years in advance, so that Horner could achieve the perfect photograph.

10. THE FOREST OF BOWLAND
