Seliverstoff spends a lot of time with his dog and children models, drawing out each one’s unique character and spirit.

The playful, almost puppylike nature of the children mirror the almost humanlike qualities of the dogs.

Seliverstoff has a passion for photographing dogs of all kinds, but he has a special love for Great Danes -- hence the name of his studio, Great Dane Photography.

The idea for the series began a few years ago, when Seliverstoff’s friends asked him to take photos of their daughter, Alice, and their Great Dane, Sean, in a nearby park.

The contrast between the sweet little girl and her giant pet was remarkable. And the image was extraordinary.

All of Seliverstoff’s photos are taken in St. Petersburg parks. Most of the dogs and children in his photos are friends or acquaintances.
