BEAUTIFUL PERSPECTIVES PUT PLACES IN A WHOLE NEW LIGHT NOW

Time offers perspective. When it passes, so do our points of view, physically, experientially, emotionally, and spiritually. Places look different at different times of day and different times of year.
Photographer Richard Silver creates magnificent images, using time-lapse and photo-collage, that show iconic places as they transition from day to night.
In a technique Silver calls “time slice,” he takes long exposure photos of his subjects across a 24 hour period, at each stage of light, then digitally splices them together. Approximately 36 images are captured of the landmarks before, during, and after the sun sets.
Each time of day shows off architecture and landscape with a unique set of colors, shadows, patterns, and motion.
Silver has a passion for both ancient and modern iconic architecture and monuments around the world.
Check out Silver’s spectrum view of London’s House of Parliament, skylines of New York and Shanghai, Beijing’s Bird’s Nest, the Colosseum in Rome, and more. And see the beauty of these places in a whole new light.
His work has been exhibited in museums and galleries around the country, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, The Skyscraper Museum, LaGrange Art Museum and Krause Gallery in New York.
