KURT ARRIGO
Sail away on a Mediterranean Sea adventure via Kurt Arrigo’s sailing photo series. Growing up on the beautiful island of Malta, Arrigo, fell in love with sailing, and the sea, in general, when he was a young child. He’s been obsessed ever since.
Sailing, diving, & swimming are Arrigo’s 3 main passions in life.
Arrigo also discovered his love for photography at an early age. He picked up a camera for the 1st time at age 11. He bought a serious camera at age 16 and began shooting yacht races, sailing competitions, and soon thereafter, underwater dive expeditions.
The 1992 America’s Cup was Arrigo’s 1st professional assignment.
Arrigo’s personal curiosity, interest in exploring, and love of adventure fueled his passions -- all executed as he was influenced by the beauty of the sea.
Photographer Henri Cartier-Bresson has also been an influence and inspiration.
Visually, Arrigo is trying to portray his own journey. But beyond his interest in creating beautiful works of art, he hopes to inspire people to explore the world, push boundaries, and to enjoy life.
Arrigo works professionally, covering shoots ranging from international sporting events, like Rolex Sydney Hobart Race, to environmental projects. He’s won numerous top industry awards.
